Industrial Heat Exchangers

High-Performance Industrial Heat Exchangers for Process Stability and Energy Recovery
Heat Transfer and Heat Recovery exchangers are foundational to temperature control, energy recovery, and the overall stability of industrial plants. Atmax Filtration supplies industrial heat exchangers engineered for consistent thermal performance across manufacturing and oil & gas operations, primarily serving clients in the United States and the Middle East. We recognize that the correct selection balances thermal performance, mechanical strength, and long-term service considerations.
We three types of heat exchangers, each engineered for specific processs, fouling tendencies, and space constraints:-
1. Shell & Tube Heat Exchangers (Heavy Duty Workhorse)
2.Plate Heat Exchangers (High Efficiency & Compact Design)
3.Spiral & Compact Heat Exchangers (Fouling-Resistant Performance)
Shell & Tube Heat Exchangers
Shell & tube designs are the standard for heavy-duty industrial service. A bundle of tubes is enclosed inside a cylindrical shell. One fluid flows through the tubes, while the second flows across the outside of the tubes within the shell. They are widely used where pressure, temperature, or mechanical strength is a concern. We supply Shell and tube type heat exchangers designed and manufactured per ASME Div VIII, TEMA, and designed, fabricated and supplied to various configurations of U type, Fixed type, Floating Head type, Kettle Reboiler type per customer requirements.
Applications
- Oil & gas processing
- Chemical reactors
- Power plants
- Thermal fluid systems
- High-pressure cooling or heating
Plate Heat Exchangers
Plate heat exchangers consist of stacked, corrugated metal plates that create alternating channels for fluid flow. The design generates strong turbulence, improving heat transfer efficiency in a compact footprint.
Applications
- HVAC systems
- Food and beverage plants
- Pharmaceutical production
- Utility water cooling
- Light industrial processes
Spiral Heat Exchangers
Spiral heat exchangers use spiral or scroll-shaped flow passages to enhance turbulence and improve heat transfer. They are compact and often selected for oil cooling and moderate-duty applications.
Applications
- Hydraulic oil cooling
- Compact process skids
- Thermal oil cooling circuits
- Moderate-pressure industrial systems
How to Choose the Right Industrial Heat Exchanger
Selection depends on process realities-
- Required heat duty
- Fluid type and fouling tendency
- Operating pressure
- Maximum operating temperature
- Available installation space
- Maintenance strategy
The correct decision balances thermal performance, mechanical strength, and long-term service considerations.
