Industrial Electric Heating Solutions for Direct, Indirect, and Integrated Modules

Precision Electric Thermal Management For applications requiring high-precision temperature control without the need for combustion, Atmax Filtration provides advanced Industrial Electric Heating Systems. Our solutions range from individual 3-phase heating elements to complete, skid-mounted heating modules equipped with sophisticated power control systems. We specialize in providing low watt density designs to prevent fluid degradation (coking) in sensitive media such as Lube Oil and Heavy Fuel Oil.

Direct & Indirect Electric Heating Technologies

1. Direct 3-Phase Immersion Heaters

Our direct electric heaters are designed for maximum thermal transfer by placing the heating elements in direct contact with the process fluid.

Applications: Ideal for Lube Oil, Fuel Oil, and Water heating where fast response times are required.

Design: Heavy-duty 3-phase electric heater configurations with robust terminal enclosures (NEMA 4, 7, or 9).

Safety: Features integrated over-temperature thermocouples on the element sheath to prevent dry-firing or fluid overheating.

Indirect Electric Heaters (Dry Storage/Removable Core)

Where the process liquid is highly corrosive, or where the tank cannot be drained for heater maintenance, Atmax provides Indirect Electric Heaters.

  • The electric elements are housed within a secondary pressure vessel or a “dry-well” (removable core design), transferring heat through the pipe wall into the process fluid.
Allows for element replacement without breaking the pressure seal or draining the system.
  • Used for aggressive chemicals, high-viscosity liquids, or sensitive fluids requiring a very gentle temperature gradient.

Specialized Lube Oil & Fuel Oil Heating Modules

Atmax engineers complete Electric Heating Modules that arrive on-site factory-tested and ready for integration. These systems are specifically designed for the demanding requirements of the Oil & Gas and Power Generation sectors.

  1. Low Watt Density Drum Heaters: Specifically engineered for Lube Oil and Fuel Oil service to ensure the “Skin Temperature” of the heater remains below the fluid’s flash point or carbonization temperature.
  2. Integrated Control Panels: Every heater module is supplied with a dedicated control system featuring SCR (Silicon Controlled Rectifier) power controllers. This allows for infinitely variable power output (0-100%), ensuring a steady temperature without the “cycling” wear of traditional contactors.
  3. Skid-Mounted Execution: Includes the heater vessel, circulation pump, isolation valves, strainers, and instrumentation on a single structural base.

Technical Specifications & Custom Engineering

Our electric heating solutions are tailored to the specific process duty and environment of your facility.

Power Ratings: Custom-sized from 10 kW to 1,000+ kW.
Voltages: 3-Phase configurations for 230V,380,415,440, 480V, and 600V service.
Materials: Element sheaths available in Copper, Steel, Stainless Steel (304, 316L), Incoloy, and Teflon-coated for corrosive service.
Control Integration: Seamlessly connects to your plant SCADA via Modbus or Ethernet/IP for remote monitoring and AI-powered anomaly detection.

Process Heating Controls

Temperature drift is usually a control issue. Our process heating controls are built to maintain steady operation under varying load conditions. Depending on project requirements, systems may include:

  • PLC-based panels
  • Burner management systems
  • Flame safety monitoring
  • High-temperature cut-offs
  • Pressure and flow sensors
  • SCADA-ready integration

In U.S. manufacturing facilities, documentation and code alignment are critical. In Middle Eastern oil & gas projects, systems must operate reliably in high ambient temperatures and remote conditions.

Control logic is configured accordingly.

Integrated Heat Transfer Support

  • Shell and tube heat exchangers
  • Thermal oil circulation modules
  • Expansion tank assemblies
  • Pump skids
  • Insulated piping solutions

The difference between average equipment and engineered systems is seen in stability over years of operation. That is where proper sizing, correct fuel selection, reliable process heating controls, and quality fabrication make the difference.

Atmax Filtration supports industrial clients across the USA and the Middle East with process heating systems that prioritize uptime, steady performance, and practical engineering.
